Winegogh is an art academy that allows you to book painting sessions while enjoying wine, following the guidance of an instructor.
Painting session
Looking for a unique plan that combines creativity and leisure? Visit a Winegogh academy.
Your booking includes all the materials needed to enjoy the activity, while you sip unlimited wine (red or white). Besides, no painting skills or experience are required. Because the instructor will guide you step by step in a simple and easy way so you can recreate the artwork.
You also have the option to choose a «neon» session, where the lights are turned off and you paint with special glowing paints and turning the activity into a fun and unique experience.
Locations and Prices
Winegogh academies are located in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Málaga, and Seville. By the way, each session costs €36.50.
Winegogh Seville
I booked a session on Feria Street and went with some friends. The materials were laid out and ready to use, along with an apron to keep us from getting dirty. Once we were seated and the instructor introduced herself, her colleague offered us wine—red or white. As the class progressed, she made sure our glasses were never empty.
You can also choose to enjoy nuts and olives for an extra €2.
With simple instructions and tips, the instructor guided us through the steps to recreate the painting of the day—in my case, a wine glass and a bottle.
I chose the «neon» session, so they turned off the lights and we painted under soft ultraviolet light, giving the room a beautiful glow and making the session feel special and unique.
The positives
You don’t need any painting skills to have a great time. Thanks to the instructor’s guidance, anyone can go home with a finished piece. It’s a fun and original plan to enjoy with friends and break the routine.
The not-so-positive
Wine and bachelorette parties don’t always mix well. We happened to share the session with a group of girls who shouted, disrupted the class, and disrespected the instructor, which affected the overall experience. Their constant interruptions ruined the atmosphere.
What could be improved
Sessions could be better organized according to the type of audience. Grouping bachelorette parties together or assigning specific time slots for them would help avoid situations like ours.
It would also be nice to be able to choose the wine quality—even if it means paying a bit more—and to be served in proper wine glasses (we were given plastic cups).
Overall, the experience was very enjoyable. Idea and format are both original and appealing. The only downside was the disruptive group, which kept us from enjoying it 100%. The rest of us painted, drank, talked, and laughed—without disturbing anyone.
In short, I definitely recommend taking part in a Winegogh session. The experience is worth it. And if you end up with a noisy group… patience, lots of patience.
Bonus Track | Where to Eat
On the same street, Feria, at number 118, there’s an Italian-Mediterranean restaurant. It’s called Adagio.
The owners are Italian, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, and the service is top-notch. I loved it.
It’s a small and charming place with the flavor of Italy—one I truly wish existed in Cádiz.
